The event also acknowledged organizations that had taken initiatives towards a more diverse and inclusive workplace environment. It brings us immense pleasure to announce that Fatima Group was recognized for its initiatives on gender diversity. Winning an award in the Progressive category, Fatima Group’s efforts were highly appreciated. Other competitors in the category included Telenor, Standard Chartered, Finca, and Engro. Fatima Group was the quintessential example of progressive approach because of its women centric initiative, women enabling platform #shematers, vocational training center and investment in girl child education. It demonstrated how talents of women are valued and appreciated across the group.
GDIB was launched in Pakistan with collaboration of Julie O’Mara in 2016. To encourage global best practices, D&I awards are also based on high criteria levels. The GDIB 2016 supports all types and sizes of organisations in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion best practices. The purpose of GDIB is to provide opportunities for a diverse group of employees without any discrimination so that it fosters innovation and creativity.
