Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: CEO Message
DE&I is a business imperative . Great organisations are not created by a single person or a single mindset. Diversity of thought, perspectives, experiences and insights does not only lead to greater innovation & business growth, it also essentially enhances attraction and retention of the best talent.
As we embark on the journey to make FG a truly inclusive professional home for diverse talent, I am pleased to share the launch of our DE&I Program Sab Sath and progress made thus far. We established Fatima Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council last year, led by experienced DE&I visionaries & practitioners, who formalized our DE&I Vision: . Fatima’s DE&I program is called Sab Saath with the vision to
‘Create a work environment and impact communities Where Diversity Thrives, Equity Prevails, and Inclusion Unites.‘
Towards the realization of the Vision, The Corporate Council with the help of implementation team, established Site Councils at our three manufacturing facilities & the Head Office . Each Council has its 3 year Roadmap and, yearly goals signed off and supported through SMART objectives. milestones and a robust
To start with, we will focus on three priorities:
- Increase the ratio of talented females at all levels and across all functional areas.
- Build and strengthen the right culture for collaborative work environment between multi generations with their own unique attributes, strengths and challenges
- And, last but not the least, inclusion of differently abled individuals in the work force.
To make the above a success, it is imperative that we make investments in building the right enabling culture, mindset and physical infra structure. The Council and Implementation team will share the details of the same with you. Each one of you has a part to play in making this cultural journey a success. You are encouraged to volunteer and participate in DE&I projects at your locations & functions.
